blended our experience of security, carrier services (local/long distance), WAN and LAN, disaster recovery and premise based PBX's into a neat package for small to mid-size businesses. We're proud to count organizations such as Winged Foot Golf Club as one of our clients; a show case for a blended hybrid solution that encompasses analog phones (phones on both East and West courses), digital phones (old Nortel phones that reside in remote locations) and VoIP phones that sit on the LAN. We also load balance with broadband internet for outbound traffic and PRI for inbound traffic. Designed and configured to failover to the other in the event of a network outage. with additional disaster recovery via a Hosted Platform and Premise Based Equipment. All working in unison with a high level of support that makes Winged Foot a happy satisfied client..
Tito Cerrati Sr. has since past on but he lives in every detail of our business and his spirit is forever in the fabric of our company.
TAC Communications, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Tito Cerrati Sr. offering professional sound solutions to both private sector and government projects such as the 34th Street Main Post Office in NYC, West Point Military Academy, Clinton Castle, J.C. Penny, Woolworth and Woolco stores nationally. He designed and installed background music systems to some of the most renowned restaurants in NYC from the Brassiere to The Trattoria. Tito created a new business from his sound engineering background and brought that passion into the prestigious NYC real estate market. providing building communications to some of the most affluent buildings in NYC from the Dakota to the Majestic to Park Ave and Fifth Ave coops and condos.
In 1996 we branched out into telecommunications services, offering local and long distance service as well as data LAN / WAN services; Frame Relay, ATM and VPN applications. After September 11th we realized the importance of diversified networking and disaster recovery in every business we touched. We provided services to IBM Disaster Recovery Centers, EZ Pass of NJ, The Bond Market, Affiliated Computer Systems, and yes, we even set up Mark Zuckerburg in his first data center in 2004.
His work ethic and discipline is the cornerstone of which the company still builds on today. Arthur Cerrati joined his father in 1986 expanding the business into security applications; burglar alarms, fire alarms, computer security, access control and CCTV systems. Some of our projects include Columbia University, Lamont Doherty Geological Observatory and Steven's Institute to name a few. In 1990, we provided the first of its kind slow scan CCTV and access control to multifamily building projects with 20 plus buildings in each of the complexes. Phipps Houses, New Settlement Apartments and Woodycrest Center (the country's first AIDs Hospice) were showcases for networking before networking was a reality.
